Adoration
Adoration, also known as Eucharistic Adoration, is a deeply reverent practice in Catholicism where the faithful spend time in prayer and worship before the Blessed Sacrament—Jesus Christ truly present in the consecrated Host. During Adoration, the Eucharist is typically displayed in a vessel called a monstrance, allowing individuals to sit or kneel in quiet reflection, thanksgiving, petition, or simply to be in the presence of Christ. It is a time to grow closer to God, find peace, and listen to His voice in the stillness. Catholics believe that just as people gathered around Jesus during His earthly life, we are invited to do the same now through this sacred devotion.
