ST. ALBERT THE GREAT PART OF MOTHER OF GOD FAMILY OF PARISHES

call for artists.

Interior of a church altar with a white crucifix above, green and white geometric banners, and flowers arranged on the altar table.

St. Albert the Great Catholic Church located at 3033 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering is planning a renovation of the interior of the church in 2026. The project will include painting the interior, installing wood panels on the ceiling, installing new flooring, redesigning the interior entrance to the church, and updating the altar furnishings. As part of this project, the renovation committee is seeking artists with experience in designing and installing art pieces in the form of paintings, mosaics, murals or 3-Dimensional works of art for two alcoves, one on each side of the altar.  The proposed area for each piece of art is approximately 150 square feet for each alcove.

The final pieces of art will reflect the dialogue between the artist and the community to produce “truly worthy and beautiful artwork”.

The committee is seeking Letters of Interest from artists highlighting their experience and willingness to be part of this exciting renovation. Letters of Interest will be accepted until December 15, 2025. To assist interested artists in understanding the project, an artist information meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 19 at 9:00am in the church.
