The Mother of God Family of Parishes (MGFP) is seeking a visionary, strategic, and faith-filled leader to serve as our Director of Evangelization (DoE). As a key member of the Family Leadership Team (FLT) reporting directly to the Pastor, you will lead a team of seasoned professionals to drive the spiritual health, growth, and outward-facing mission of our vibrant three-campus Catholic community. You will shape the overarching vision for missionary renewal by designing, executing, and evaluating unified strategies for evangelization, lifelong faith formation, and outward discipleship across our 3 campuses in Kettering, OH. With over 6,000 member households, the DoE has a significant role to play in promoting our Catholic faith in our local community.

Ascension Catholic Church, part of the Mother of God Family of Parishes, is seeking a qualified Director of Liturgical Music. The Director serves as principal musician, organist, and choir director and is responsible for developing and implementing a complete program of sacred liturgical music that enhances the liturgy and moves the faithful to worship.
Responsibilities:
• Plans, prepares, coordinates and provides music for weekday, weekend, holy day, school, funeral, and wedding Masses and liturgies. Serves as principal musician and cantor and/or provides musical accompaniment.
• Trains, directs, and supervises choirs, instrumental ensembles, and cantors and coordinates extra musicians as needed.
• Develops the annual liturgical music budget and maintains strict accountability for all program expenditures.
• Maintains and organizes the parish music library, ensuring proper copyright and licensing compliance.
• Oversees the maintenance, repair, and tuning of musical instruments and sound equipment.Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in music, music education, or related, or Colleague’s Certificate (CAGO) and Choir Master’s Certificate (CMAGO) from the American Guild of Organists
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with liturgical music programs, including school liturgies
• Practicing Roman Catholic with a strong commitment to the Church and her teachings
• Thorough understanding of the Church’s sacred liturgy and sacred music tradition
• Expertise in selecting sacred music that aligns with Catholic liturgical documents and guidelines for choirs, organ, and full congregational participation
• Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain a program of quality congregational singing
• Demonstrated ability to lead liturgical music as a cantor while providing expert accompaniment on piano and organ
• Demonstrated skills as an effective choral conductor
• Working knowledge of other instruments which might be used in liturgical music
• Weekend and evening availability

The Mother of God Family of Parishes (MGFP) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Children’s Faith Formation Assistant. This position reports to the Director of Children’s Faith Formation and provides administrative, organizational, and program support for a variety of children’s and youth faith formation programs throughout our Family of Parishes. The role works closely with catechists, families, volunteers, and parish staff to help create a welcoming and faith-filled experience for children and youth.
Responsibilities:
Assist with program planning, event coordination, and hands-on activities.
Assist with the preparation, set-up, and clean-up of classrooms and event spaces.
Serve as a warm, welcoming, and faith-filled presence for children and families.
Coordinate and support catechists serving in the Children’s Liturgy of the Word ministry. Organize materials, maintain communication, ensure SafeParish compliance, and be present as needed.
Assist with First Reconciliation and First Communion sacramental preparation including retreats, meetings, and activities.
Assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of summer Bible Camp.
Provide support for youth ministry programs and events, including Edge, Ignite, Confirmation retreats, and other activities as needed.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Practicing Catholic who understands and supports the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Experience working with children, youth, families, catechists, and/or volunteers in a parish, school, or faith formation setting. Experience with religious education and/or sacramental preparation preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to simultaneously handle multiple programs, tasks, and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work positively with children, parents, catechists, volunteers, and parish staff.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
Ability to exercise good judgment, professionalism and appropriately handle confidential information.
Proficient in the use of email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and other digital tools.
Availability to work 15-20 hours per week, including Sunday evenings during the religious education school year and occasional additional weekend and evening times as needed.
Flexibility to work at three different campuses as needed – Ascension, St. Albert the Great and St. Charles Borromeo, all located in Kettering.

This position will work closely with the Director of Worship to coordinate liturgical celebrations and play a central role in supporting bereaved families through the planning and celebration of funerals.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and be present to help facilitate daily Masses and some weekend and holy day liturgies.
• Lead Communion services as needed.
• Provide pastoral presence and support to individuals and families in planning and celebrating funerals.
• Plan, coordinate and be present to help facilitate funeral Masses.
• Coordinate funeral luncheons as needed.
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers and lay leaders for parish liturgies and funerals.Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry, theology, or related, or a commensurate combination of education, training and experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in parish ministry or a comparable setting
• Practicing Roman Catholic with a strong commitment to the Church and her teachings
• Thorough understanding of the Church’s sacred liturgy
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Some weekend and evening availability

Key responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding, developing job descriptions, maintaining employee handbooks, preparing training programs, enforcing human resource policies, supporting supervisors with human resource needs, conflict resolution, and helping form a high-performing workplace culture. This position is part-time, with possible full-time potential.
A bachelor’s degree in human resource management with 5 or more years of directly applicable experience is required. A preference will be given to practicing Catholic applicants.
