June Mental Wellness Moment
By the Mother of God Mental Wellness Ministry

The Mother of God Mental Wellness Ministry is pleased to announce the continuation of our Monthly Mental Wellness Moment with resources picked based upon the results of the survey topics that you, the parishioners, have completed.

St. Dymphna’s Bookshelf (monthly book series): We are pleased to offer Searching For and Maintaining Peace by Fr. Jacques Philippe. For those seeking to acquire the peace of Christ in this time of “agitation and inquietude” then this is a must read! Fr. Philippe shows us how to respond to fear and anxiety provoking situations with the Gospel. Copies are available at the St. Charles Church Library, at the Dayton Metro Library, and on Amazon. The University of Dayton Library can request copies from other libraries.

Prayer Opportunity: The free Ascension: Catholic Bible app is offering a podcast series starting June 8th based on a book about prayer in daily life with a foreword by Pope Leo XIV, The Practice of the Presence of God. To access the series, download the app and search for Catholic Classics with this book title in the podcasts section.

Local or Online Resources: If you are looking for local mental health providers that align with Catholic teachings, please see catholictherapists.com to search for a Dayton/Cincinnati/Columbus metropolitan area list. Some offer telehealth appointments.
