Sacred Heart Pilgrim Icon

CONSECRATE YOUR FAMILY TO THE SACRED HEART

This fall, our Mother of God Family of Parishes will be blessed to welcome the Sacred Heart Pilgrim Icon, a traveling image sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. The icon makes its way from parish to parish across the country, inviting Catholic communities to grow deeper in devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. For centuries, the Sacred Heart has been a powerful symbol of Christ’s boundless love for humanity. From the revelations given to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque to the devotions embraced by families around the world, the Sacred Heart reminds us that Jesus’ love is personal, faithful, and unfailing. To consecrate your family to the Sacred Heart is to welcome Christ into the very center of your home— your joys, your struggles, and your daily life.

On Thursday, December 11, from 7:00-8:00 PM, all parishioners are invited to gather at Ascension Campus for a Sacred Heart Holy Hour. This evening of prayer will include Eucharistic Adoration, scripture, hymns, and prayers of consecration. Families are encouraged to bring children of all ages. This Holy Hour is more than just an event—it’s a moment of encounter with Christ, a chance to entrust ourselves and our families to His merciful Heart. Whether you are familiar with this devotion or discovering it for the first time, all are welcome!

The traveling Sacred Heart Icon will also be displayed for the First Friday noon mass and Benediction/Adoration afterwards on Friday, December 5th at St Albert.
